Generate → Review → Apply

Goal

Generate product content and images, review outputs, and persist approved fields to the product safely.

Preconditions

• Product exists and is editable.
• Product has valid hosted entitlement or an entitled BYOK configuration.

Steps

• Click Generate Content.
• Fields are auto-applied immediately: descriptions into editor and SEO inputs, tags directly to product taxonomy.
• Status confirms: "All fields applied — see Info tab for details. Save the product to confirm."
• Review Content, Lifestyle Images, and campaign tabs.
• For lifestyle images, generate variants and attach selected ones.
• If you edited the generated preview, click Write to Product to re-apply.
• Click WordPress Update to persist all changes.

Validation

• Status indicates successful generation and auto-apply.
• Descriptions appear in editor and SEO inputs.
• Tags appear in the product Tags field.
• Selected images appear in product gallery panel.
• Info tab shows "Generated at" and "Applied at" timestamps.
• Info tab Active layers row confirms which of Business Context and Writing Pattern were active during generation, with links to Settings.

Failure Recovery

• Use Restore after write if needed (reverts last apply only).
• Use Clear when you want to drop the current MerchantDrafts session state and return to the pre-generation baseline for this session.
• Re-run generation with updated tone, length, or "What to emphasize" for better output.
• Re-run generation with updated Step 2/Step 3 text for better image outcomes.

Notes

• Tags do not require Write to Product — they are written on generation.
• Write to Product is a re-apply action for edited generated fields, not the primary write path.
• Restore replaces the former Undo button.
• None of these actions permanently saves the product until WordPress Update or Publish is clicked.
