Assistant Surfaces and Configuration
Where assistant behavior is edited, where runtime prompts are inspected, and what Support is responsible for.
Assistant Surfaces and Configuration
Use this reference when you need to know where assistant behavior is configured versus where it is inspected.
This avoids a common confusion: not every assistant-related screen is an editing surface.
Short map
MD Settings > Content Engine: operator instruction fields for content/ad workspaces.MD Settings > Power Tools > Generation Prompt Templates: editable template layer.MD Settings > Power Tools > Agent Runtime Prompts: read-only runtime inspector.MerchantDrafts > Support(page=mdrfts_support): support/help answers, not prompt-template editing.
What is editable
Inside Generation Prompt Templates, template rows are editable and saveable.
Current example:
Store Setup > Opportunity Strategist (Opportunity Radar)uses keyopportunity_strategist.
Editing this row changes the stored template option (mdrfts_prompt_tpl_opportunity_strategist) used by MerchantDrafts prompt-layer surfaces.
What is read-only
Agent Runtime Prompts is a runtime inspection surface.
- It loads backend assistant prompt groups on demand.
- It also shows a
Workspace-localentry forOpportunity Strategistso operators can inspect the current text in the same screen. - It is intentionally read-only: no save path from this panel.
What Support is for
page=mdrfts_support is the operator support and retrieval surface.
Use it for:
- feature explanations
- troubleshooting guidance
- workflow clarification
Do not treat it as the source for editing assistant templates or runtime prompt definitions.
Operator rule of thumb
- Want to change behavior text: go to
Generation Prompt Templates. - Want to inspect what is currently loaded: go to
Agent Runtime Prompts. - Want to understand how the system works: go to
Support.
